This is a noteworthy content in Circular 24/2019/TT-BNNPTNT amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular 07/2016/TT-BNNPTNT regulating the prevention and control of terrestrial animal diseases.
To be specific, Circular 24 supplemented African swine fever to the list of animal diseases requiring compulsory destruction or mandatory slaughter measures that were previously stipulated in Circular 07/2016/TT-BNNPTNT. The prevention, control, and application of mandatory measures against pigs infected with African swine fever must follow the directives and guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Animal Health.
In addition, this Circular also added African swine fever to the list of terrestrial animal diseases that must be declared as an epidemic.
During the implementation process, if there are any difficulties or obstacles, it is requested that agencies, organizations, or individuals reflect these to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for review, amendment, and supplementation.
