Coefficient of compulsory social insurance price slippage in Vietnam in 2025

The monthly salary that has been subjected to social insurance for the subjects stipulated in Clause 1, Article 1 of Circular 01/2025/TT-BLDTBXH is adjusted according to the following formula:

Adjusted monthly salary subjected to social insurance of each year = Total monthly salary subjected to social insurance of each year x Adjustment rate of the salary subjected to social insurance of the corresponding year

Wherein, the adjustment rate of the salary subjected to social insurance of the corresponding year is implemented according to Table 1 stipulated in Clause 1, Article 2 of Circular 01/2025/TT-BLDTBXH, for instance:

- The adjustment rate of the salary subjected to social insurance of the years before 1995 is 5.63

- The adjustment rate of the salary subjected to social insurance of the year 2005 is 3.17

- The adjustment rate of the salary subjected to social insurance of the year 2015 is 1.31

- The adjustment rate of the salary subjected to social insurance of the year 2025 is 1.00

For employees who have both contributed to social insurance under the state-prescribed salary policies and have contributed to social insurance according to the salary policies determined by the employer, the monthly salary subjected to social insurance for employees starting to participate in social insurance according to state-prescribed salary policies from January 01, 2016, onwards, and the monthly salary that has been subjected to social insurance according to salary policies decided by the employer, shall be adjusted according to the provisions in Clause 1, Article 2 of Circular 01/2025/TT-BLDTBXH.

Circular 01/2025/TT-BLDTBXH takes effect from February 28, 2025; the regulations in Circular 01/2025/TT-BLDTBXH are applied from January 01, 2025.

Circular 20/2023/TT-BLDTBXH ceases to be effective from February 28, 2025.
