Changes to fees for licensing karaoke and nightclub services in Vietnam (Illustrative image)
According to Draft Circular on the fees for licensing karaoke and nightclub services and submission, collection, management and use thereof, enterprises and business households, when submitting applications to competent state agencies for the issuance of business licenses for karaoke and dance hall services, must pay fees according to the fee schedule in the table below:

The Draft Circular has divided the number of karaoke service rooms into 03 levels as mentioned above, helping to reduce costs for some small businesses. For example, if there are only 01 – 03 rooms, the appraisal fee is just 4 million VND/license, compared to the current provision under Circular 212/2016/TT-BTC where the appraisal fee for a karaoke business license from 01 - 05 rooms is 6 million VND/license.
