Promulgation of the standards for assessing the quality of training programs at different levels of higher education in Vietnam from April 4, 2025

The Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam promulgates Circular 04/2025/TT-BGDĐT dated February 17, 2025, stipulating the quality accreditation for training programs at various levels of higher education.

Criterion 5 regarding faculty and researchers in the quality assessment standards for higher education training programs is as follows:

- Criterion 5.1: The development plan for faculty and researchers participating in the training program is implemented to ensure the quantity and quality meet the requirements of training, scientific research, and community service connection.

- Criterion 5.2: The quantity and quality of faculty and researchers meet the requirements to implement the training program as regulated; the workload of faculty and researchers is measured and monitored to improve the quality of training, scientific research, and community service connection.

- Criterion 5.3: The competence of faculty and researchers is determined, evaluated, and communicated to the directly related parties.

- Criterion 5.4: Faculty and researchers are assigned tasks suitable to their level, capability, and experience.

- Criterion 5.5: The appointment/promotion of faculty and researchers is based on a competency evaluation system, teaching results, research task performance, and community service connection.

- Criterion 5.6: The responsibilities, authorities, and obligations of faculty and researchers are clearly defined according to regulations and disseminated for all faculty and researchers to understand and implement.

- Criterion 5.7: The training, fostering, and professional development needs of faculty and researchers are systematically identified; training and fostering activities are implemented to meet these needs.

- Criterion 5.8: The management work for teaching quality assessment, scientific research, and community service of faculty and researchers, including rewarding and recognition, are implemented according to specific regulations and procedures.
