In order to continue implementing the Master Program on State Administrative Reform for the 2011-2020 period, the Prime Minister has approved the Plan for Simplifying a Group of Administrative Procedures and Regulations Related to Medical Examination and Treatment Facilities under the Management Scope of the Ministry of Health.
On June 22, 2015, the National Assembly of Vietnam passed the Law on Promulgation of Legislative Documents (Law No. 80/2015/QH13). The Law takes effect from July 1, 2016, replacing the Law on Promulgation of Legislative Documents of 2008 (Law No. 17/2008/QH12) and the Law on Promulgation of Legislative Documents of the People's Councils and People's Committees (Law No. 31/2004/QH11). The Law comprises 17 Chapters and 173 Articles. The Law introduces several fundamental new points directly related to the drafting of legislative documents by the Ministry of Transport.
Over the past year, the situation of crimes and violations of laws on weapons, explosives, and supporting tools has continued to develop complicatedly. Notably, there has been an increasing trend in the illegal buying, selling, transportation, storage, and use of weapons, explosives, and supporting tools for personal revenge, asset robbery, and territory disputes among criminal gangs and groups.
In the 2013 Constitution, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly is still defined as the "permanent body of the National Assembly" (Clause 1, Article 73).
With 86.92% of the National Assembly deputies agreeing, the Draft Law on Organization of the National Assembly (amended) 2014 was passed at the 8th session of the XIII National Assembly. The amendments and supplements of this Law are based on the inheritance and development of the provisions of current law combined with selective reference and absorption of parliamentary organization and operation experiences of several countries around the world suitable to the conditions of Vietnam, while also based on the results of systematizing and codifying the regulations on the organization and operation of the National Assembly.
June 8, the Ministry of Justice officially announced the Draft Law on Legal Aid. The draft will be open for public comments until July 27, 2016, and is expected to be passed at the XIV Term - 3rd Session of the National Assembly.
From January 01, 2017, all journalism activities and issues related to these activities will be regulated by the Press Law 2016, which was passed by the 13th National Assembly, at its 11th session on April 05, 2016.
