Vietnam: Main contents of the report on acceptance of building tasks

In 2016, the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam issued Circular No. 26/2016/TT-BXD on the elaboration of a number of aspects of construction quality control and maintenance.

According to Circular No. 26/2016/TT-BXD of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam, the acceptance record may be separately made for each specific building task or may aggregate multiple building tasks of a work item according to the construction process. The acceptance record shall specify:

- Name of the accepted building tasks;

- Date and location of acceptance;

- Signatories to the acceptance record;

- Conclusion (the building task is accepted or rejected, agree to execute the next step; request to complete or repair and other requirements, if any);

- Signature, full name, title of the signatory;

- Appendices (if any).

Also according to Circular No. 26/2016/TT-BXD, signatories to the acceptance record in case of EPC contract:

- The EPC contractor’s construction supervisor(s) or investor’s construction supervisor(s) for the building tasks they supervise.

- EPC contractor's construction technicians. If the EPC contractor hires subcontractors, the EPC contractor’s technicians and subcontractors’ technicians shall sign the acceptance record;

- The investor’s representative as agreed with the EPC contractor (if any).
