Subjects of Technology Transfer and Receipt in Agriculture

On May 24, 2018, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree No. 83/2018/ND-CP replacing Decree No. 02/2010 on agricultural extension.

Subjects of technology transfer and recipients of technology transfer in agriculture as stipulated by Decree 83 as follows:

1. Subjects of technology transfer in agriculture

- Organizations and individuals belonging to the State's specialized agricultural extension system established and operating under the regulations of authorities;- Organizations and individuals operating in the fields of research, training, and transfer with functions and tasks related to agricultural extension activities and technology transfer in agriculture;- Other organizations and individuals including: political organizations, socio-political organizations, economic organizations, professional social organizations, and other organizations and individuals both domestically and internationally participating in agricultural extension and technology transfer activities within the territory of Vietnam.

2. Recipients of technology transfer in agriculture

- Farmers, farm owners, members of cooperative groups, members of cooperatives, and other individuals engaged in production and business activities in the field of agriculture;- Linkage groups, cooperative groups, cooperatives, enterprises, and other organizations engaged in production and business activities in the field of agriculture.
