Standards and Service Life of Health Sector Inspector Uniforms

Circular 39/2015/TT-BYT regulating the standards, attire, and identification cards for individuals assigned to perform specialized inspection duties in the health sector, was issued by the Minister of Health on November 12, 2015.

To be specific, in Article 5 of Circular 39/2015/TT-BYT, regulations on standards and the lifespan of uniforms for specialized health inspectors are as follows:

- Specialized health inspectors are provided with uniforms, which include: kepi hats, insignias, badge collars, epaulets, fall/winter uniforms, overcoats, long-sleeved shirts, spring/summer short-sleeved uniforms, leather belts, leather shoes, strapped sandals, socks, ties, raincoats, and document bags.- The management, issuance, and lifespan of uniforms for specialized health inspectors shall comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Finance and the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam regarding policies on managing and issuing uniforms to inspectors, officials, and public employees working in state inspection agencies.- Recipients of uniforms are to use them when performing official duties, on holidays, and on traditional days; they are responsible for maintaining and preserving the uniforms according to State regulations; it is strictly prohibited to use uniforms for improper purposes or for personal profit.

In addition, the Circular also stipulates that the badges for specialized health inspectors must comply with the following regulations:

- Badges for specialized health inspectors are for use by specialized health inspectors when performing official duties. The design of the badge is in accordance with Appendix III issued together with this Circular.- The badge is made of metal with a dark grey surface, golden letters, Times New Roman font, the entire surface covered with mica, measuring 20 mm x 80 mm. On the left, there is a health inspection emblem measuring 15 mm x 15 mm. The remaining section, measuring 20 mm x 60 mm, is arranged as follows: The name of the agency assigned to perform the specialized inspection function is written at the top, font size 11, uppercase; in the middle, the full name of the official is written, font size 12, uppercase, bold; at the bottom, the title or rank is written, font size 10, uppercase.- Badge position: The badge is worn on the left chest pocket flap. The bottom edge of the badge should be aligned with the upper edge of the chest pocket flap.

Note: When there are awards such as medals on the left chest, the badge is worn on the right chest.
