The content is specified in Circular 26/2013/TT-BYT issued by the Ministry of Health providing guidelines on blood transfusion activities.
The transportation of blood and blood products must comply with the requirements stipulated in Article 20 of Circular 26/2013/TT-BYT. To be specific:

- Firstly: Regarding equipment and transportation means, they must maintain the appropriate temperature consistent with the storage requirements for each type of blood and blood product.- Secondly: The transportation of blood units must ensure safety, temperature control, and monitoring of the transportation time according to the following requirements:
- For whole blood and red blood cell packs: ensure that the temperature in the transport compartment is maintained between 1^o^C to 10^o^C throughout the transportation process; whole blood used for platelet preparation is stored and transported according to the regulations at Point b, Clause 2, Article 22 of this Circular;- For platelet and white blood cell packs: ensure that the temperature in the transport compartment is maintained between 20^o^C to 24^o^C;- For plasma and frozen blood products: ensure that the temperature in the transport compartment is maintained at -18^o^C (-18^o^C) or lower;- Ice used for preservation should not be placed in direct contact with blood bags.
