Regulations on Skill Requirements for Construction Carpentry and Interior Decoration (Illustrative Image)

Circular 40/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates the skill requirements for the field of construction carpentry and interior decoration at intermediate and college levels as follows:

College Level

- Proficiently use Autocad software to draw carpentry products ensuring functionality and usage purposes, and interpret drawings in the field of Construction Carpentry and Interior Decoration;- Proficiently use technical terms of the trade; distinguish and select materials for each product, and prepare materials and accessory lists for the complete assembly process of products;- Select commonly used types of wood in the trade; calculate the dimension of samples required for cutting;- Proficiently use various manual tools in the trade;- Operate and maintain machinery, tools, and some specialized equipment; effectively use modern tools and facilities of the trade;- Establish procedures and design carpentry products, and manufacture various carpentry products according to established processes, standards, and design requirements;- Fabricate, assemble, and disassemble formwork ensuring technical standards and safety;- Fabricate and assemble sloping roof frames meeting technical requirements;- Fabricate and assemble wooden stairs, door frames, door leaves, beam cladding, floors, walls, ceilings, kitchen cabinets, wall cabinets ensuring technical quality;- Organize the implementation to ensure labor safety and industrial hygiene during work, practice efficient production, and comply with fire prevention and control regulations;- Use, operate, and maintain machinery, tools, and some specialized equipment of the trade according to technical procedures;- Use basic information technology as required; exploit, process, and apply information technology in the specialized work of the trade;- Use a basic foreign language, reaching level 2/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; apply foreign languages in specialized work of the trade.

Intermediate Level

- Interpret drawings of the trade;- Proficiently use technical terms of the trade; distinguish and select materials for each product, and prepare materials and accessory lists for the complete assembly process of products;- Calculate the dimension of samples required for cutting;- Proficiently use various manual tools in the trade;- Operate and maintain machinery, tools, and some specialized equipment; effectively use modern tools and facilities of the trade;- Manufacture various carpentry products according to established processes, standards, and design requirements;- Fabricate, assemble, and disassemble formwork ensuring technical standards and safety;- Fabricate and assemble sloping roof frames, door frames, door leaves, beam cladding, floors, walls, ceilings, kitchen cabinets, wall cabinets meeting technical requirements;- Implement labor safety and industrial hygiene during work, practice efficient production, and comply with fire prevention and control regulations;- Use basic information technology as required; apply information technology in some specialized work of the trade;- Use a basic foreign language, reaching level 1/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; apply foreign languages in some specialized work of the trade.
