On October 05, 2018, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Circular 31/2018/TT-BVHTTDL specifying the facilities for a 50m shooting range.
Circular 31 stipulates that the 50m shooting range must meet the following infrastructure requirements:
- The shooting range must be at least 60m in length; the designed length includes 50m (of which at least 35m is outdoors or in an open space) + 2m target line + 5m shooting line + spectator area; The width of the range must not be less than 15m, ensuring that it can accommodate no fewer than 10 shooting stands;- Equipped with a bullet trap or steel bulletproof shield placed right behind the target.
For the 25m shooting range, the following requirements must be met:
- The shooting range must be at least 35m in length; the designed length includes 25m (of which at least 12.5m is outdoors or in an open space) + 3m target line + 5m shooting line + spectator area; the width of the range must not be less than 15m;- A bulletproof container or funnel placed parallel and 1m behind the target frame;- Equipped with a bullet casing net in front of the shooter.
Additionally, Circular 31 also stipulates the infrastructure requirements for the 10m shooting range used for air guns, which must have:
- Dimensions not smaller than 20m on each side;- The designed length includes 10m + 20cm target line + 5m shooting line + spectator area;- The width ensuring it can accommodate 10 shooting stands, each 1m wide and spaced 1m apart.
For the 10m range used for moving targets:
- The shooting range must be at least 20m in length;- The designed length includes 10m + 2m target line + 5m shooting line + spectator area;- The width of the shooting range must be at least 10m, divided into 2 separate compartments, each 3m wide.
