Circular 153/2017/TT-BQP was issued by the Ministry of National Defense on June 26, 2017, to specifically stipulate holidays and Tet holidays for officers of the Vietnam People's Army.
Circular 153 stipulates the holidays and Tet breaks for officers of the Vietnam People's Army as follows:
- Annually, officers are entitled to holidays and Tet breaks as prescribed by the Labor Code and the founding day of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22).- For units performing combat readiness, training, or other tasks as required by duty, the holidays and Tet breaks are determined by the unit commanders at the regiment level and equivalent based on the unit's task situation.
Additionally, Circular 153 sets forth policies regarding convalescence leave as follows:
- Officers are entitled to convalescence leave according to the legal provisions related to the functions, duties, organization, and management of convalescence activities and convalescence policies in the Army.
Furthermore, Circular 153 stipulates that officers are entitled to weekends off on Saturdays and Sundays weekly. For units performing combat readiness, training, or other tasks as required by duty, the weekly off days are determined by the unit commanders at the regiment level and equivalent based on the unit's task situation.
