Procedure for Building an Administrative Boundary Database

Circular 46/2017/TT-BTNMT issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment stipulates the establishment of a database of administrative boundaries. This is the first Circular to provide detailed regulations on this matter.

To be specific, the construction of the Administrative Boundary Database must go through the following 06 steps:

- Step 1: Preparation work- Step 2: Technical editing- Step 3: Building the administrative boundary data- Step 4: Verification and data completion- Step 5: Building the administrative boundary metadata- Step 6: Packaging and product delivery

To be specific, the packaging and delivery of the product are regulated as follows:

- Product packaging:- The packaging of the administrative boundary database according to the scope of the provincial administrative unit in Geodatabase format complies with regulations in Appendix 2 issued together with Circular 46.- Delivered product:- The administrative boundary database and the corresponding updated geographical database;- Administrative boundary metadata;- Report on the results of creating the Administrative Boundary Database based on the results of product trial operation on the investor-confirmed system;- Other related documents.
