Obligations of Employers in Self-Inspecting the Implementation of Labor Laws

Recently, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 17/2018/TT-BLDTBXH providing guidance on self-inspection of labor law compliance by enterprises.

According to Circular 17, when conducting a self-inspection of labor law compliance within their enterprise, the employer has the following obligations:

- Must conduct self-inspections of labor law compliance. When requested and guided by the state labor inspection agency, the employer must register an account and report the results of the labor law self-inspection online on the electronic information page.- Responsible before the law for the honesty and accuracy of the online labor law self-inspection report results; ensuring timely reporting as required by the state labor management agency.- Coordinate with the labor collective representative organization at the workplace to implement recommendations and feedback from the state labor inspection agency according to the content of the online labor law self-inspection report; provide explanations when required by competent agencies or individuals.
