Additionally, the procedures for developing, appraising, and approving local agricultural extension programs are specified as follows:

- The Provincial People's Committee or the centrally run City assigns specialized agencies to organize the development of local agricultural extension programs and collect opinions from relevant agencies and units;- The Provincial People's Committee or the centrally run City organizes an appraisal council for the local agricultural extension program;- Based on the appraisal results, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee or City approves the local agricultural extension program and announces it on the electronic portal of the Provincial People's Committee or City.

Decree 83/2018/ND-CP comes into effect on July 10, 2018, replacing Decree 02/2010/ND-CP.
