What are the sample argumentative essays on the tastes of today's Vietnamese youth?

The tastes of today's youth are a topic of much interest because they not only reflect the trends and lifestyle of the younger generation but also affect cultural and social development. In the era of digital technology and global integration, the tastes of the youth have undergone many changes, both positive and negative.

Students can refer to the following sample argumentative essays on the tastes of today's Vietnamese youth:

Sample 1:

Today, globalization has created exchanges between cultures and nations worldwide. The youth of each country receives tastes in various fields. However, not all tastes are positive and can lead to unforeseen consequences.

Taste is the liking or preference for something in everyday life. Today's youth access many different tastes thanks to the internet and online exchanges. They often show interest in tastes related to aesthetics in arts, architecture, business, etc. However, many young people do not have a clear perception of tastes and have misconceptions about their own tastes. This is reflected in their way of dressing, thinking, aesthetics, and speech. Some young people encourage the wrong aspects of love and marriage, eccentric, provocative fashion trends, and make shocking statements. At the same time, some esteem and orient towards "imported" tastes, forgetting the traditional cultural identity of their country. However, there are also youths who positively embrace tastes and cultural trends in a correct and appropriate manner.

The main cause comes from the erroneous views and distorted perceptions of young people. They may be stimulated by new things but do not wish to explore them thoroughly.

The consequence of not choosing and absorbing positive tastes can be the decline of civilized society and aesthetic values. The youth may lose their national identity and "integrate to dissolve." Moreover, they may fall into social vices and engage in immoral behavior.

For youth to have a more correct taste, each individual needs to be conscious in selecting and receiving cultural and aesthetic values. It is necessary to equip oneself with knowledge and skills to integrate with the global era. Simultaneously, media organizations and managers need to organize cultural and artistic exchanges and study the history and traditions of each nation. Education should cooperate with families to orient students' knowledge about tastes.

As a student, I will strive to study, explore, and select beneficial knowledge to contribute to building the country and preserving national identity.

Sample 2:

In the era of global integration, all nations and territories are enhancing exchanges in many fields such as culture, arts, history, etc. This leads to the emergence of trends, "hot trends" that countless people embrace. These are the factors directly impacting the tastes of today's youth.

So, what is taste? When we dissect the words "thi", "hiếu", both have similar meanings, indicating "liking, favor, preference." Similarly, "taste" is a term referring to the enjoyment or fondness for something. From here, people not only enjoy but also apply these aspects into their daily lives.

Smart electronic devices have brought new transitions to human life. Everywhere, we encounter high-speed Internet, widespread everywhere. Consequently, people have easy access to different tastes. If parents tend to seek out old values, the youth and younger generation opt for dynamic and modern choices. The tastes of youth are presented in many aspects: fashion, art, etc. They can absorb and catch the prevailing trends or viral phenomena on social media. However, due to ambiguous understanding, it has led to some negative behaviors. These include some young people dressing eccentrically in a "lack of fabric" style, creating offensive impressions. Some make shocking statements, offensive remarks to garner views and likes. In the context of integration and exchange, some youths often "favor foreign" customs, traditions, or cultures of other nations. They are ready to criticize, reject their own national culture. Alongside those with distorted tastes, there are many young people absorbing trends and cultural elements positively. These individuals know how to harmonize all values, choosing what is suitable for themselves and society. We easily encounter images of groups and individuals striving to revive the traditional clothing of their nation from the Ly, Tran, Later Le, and Nguyen dynasties. Or some people are daily preserving and succeeding, reviving folk traditions and culture.

The cause of spreading and absorbing negative tastes comes from individuals. Primarily, because young people lack understanding, leading to distorted perceptions and wrong viewpoints. Some individuals are easily stimulated or drawn into novel thrills but have not equipped themselves with complete knowledge. Others like to "follow blindly" into trends, styles but do not delve deeply.

It can be said that the increasing toxic trends will lead civilized society to many "trash" aesthetic and cultural values. From here, people easily get twisted in thoughts, ethics, and worldviews. Moreover, when youth continue with "foreign preference" trends, the nation risks losing its beautiful identities, turning integration into dissolution.

Similarly, we need to be aware in selecting and absorbing cultural and aesthetic values. What is good and civilized should be warmly welcomed; what is distorted and offensive should be condemned and dismissed. Additionally, media organizations and managers should organize cultural and artistic exchanges, themed explorations of the history and traditional culture of each nation. Particularly, educators should cooperate with families to provide proper guidance on tastes for students.

The tastes of the youth continue to impact society significantly. Therefore, we - the younger generation that the nation pin its hopes on - need to diligently study, cultivate morality, and know how to choose and absorb beautiful and civilized values.
