During the reign of the sixth Hung King, there was an old couple in the village of Giong who were diligent and virtuous but had no children. One day, the wife stepped into a large footprint in the field and became pregnant. Twelve months later, she gave birth to a handsome boy. At three years old, he could not walk, talk, or laugh. When invaders came, the king recruited talented people, and the boy spoke for the first time, asking the king for an iron whip, iron armor, and an iron horse to fight the enemy. The boy ate voraciously and grew swiftly. The whole village contributed rice to feed him. When the enemy arrived, the boy stood up, stretched out, and turned into a mighty warrior, wearing iron armor, riding the iron horse, and wielding the iron whip to defeat the invaders. When the iron whip broke, he uprooted bamboo clusters to strike the enemy. The warrior, on horseback, ascended the mountain summit, removed the iron armor, and rode the horse into the sky. The people, grateful, erected a temple in his honor, and the village of Giong still holds a festival with remnants such as bamboo groves, ponds, and lakes surviving to this day.
