Sample 1

Under my small roof live three siblings: my sister Gau, my brother Bo, and me. After my sister and I had grown up, our mother gave birth to Bo. From being the youngest sibling cherished by everyone, I suddenly became an older sister. At first, I didn't like it at all, even feeling jealous of Bo. But over time, everything gradually changed.

Bo is chubby and cute! His plump legs and arms have rolls like bracelets. His face is round, with rosy cheeks that everyone wants to cuddle. In winter, his cheeks turn even redder, looking more adorable. Bo's hair is short because Dad cut it in a crew cut style, and he giggles with delight whenever it's touched. His black, round eyes are like beads, and they squint adorably when he laughs.

That afternoon, I had to babysit him for our mom. Bo had a runny nose, and his cute little nose was constantly wet. I wiped it for him and let him play with his usual toys while I tried to sit down to draw for a homework assignment. However, Bo wouldn't sit still and kept bothering me. I got annoyed and scolded him. This time, Bo didn't cry loudly as usual but just pouted, with tears rolling down his chubby cheeks. He quietly returned to his spot, not bothering me anymore. Suddenly, I felt guilty and deeply sorry for him. I drew a picture of him with a bright smile. Seeing the picture, Bo laughed joyfully and asked for a pen to paint with me. Even though it was just a few scribbles, he tried to draw someone with a big smile and said, "This is Sister Bee!" My heart welled up with emotion, and I hugged him tightly.

From that day on, I loved Bo more. We became closer, playing together every day with laughter echoing throughout the house. Whenever I wrote letters to Sister Gau, I would talk about Bo's adorable antics. I realized how lucky I was to have such a cute little brother.

Sample 2

If someone asks me: "In this little family always filled with laughter, who do you pride yourself on the most?" I wouldn't hesitate to say that my brother is the person I am most proud of.

My brother's name is Hoang, and he is twenty years old this year. He is currently a student at Hanoi Medical University. He has sharp eyes hidden behind his glasses. His neatly trimmed hair makes his face brighter and more handsome in the eyes of family and friends. He is tall and slender, as he has been prone to illnesses since childhood. That's also why he decided to study at the medical university; he says he wants to help children and those less fortunate with their health. Ever since I was a silly little girl, I would follow him around, listening to every word he taught me. Though he is quite a few years older than me, six years might not be a lot for many, but to me, it is. We are very close because he always pampers and shares everything with me, from toys to books and notebooks.

My brother is gentle yet strict; he never covers up my faults but always helps me understand what is right or wrong. Tidiness is one of his good qualities, which is completely different from me. While his room is neat and airy, mine is quite the opposite, despite my efforts to follow his guidance. My brother is a role model for me to learn from and emulate.

My brother also enjoys reading books and cooking. This hobby might seem a bit feminine, but the dishes he cooks are delicious, and the books he reads are really interesting. He always cares and worries about me, addressing everything from meals to habits like sitting too close to the TV. Because his studies become more challenging as he progresses, he cannot spend as much time with me as before. On the day he left for Hanoi to start school, I wished him well with a happy smile on my lips.

I will not let selfishness make him sad because he has given me so much, and I hope that one day he will look at me with eyes full of pride.
Sample 3

My mother is a great cook, so her dishes are always delicious and attractive. Whenever she steps into the kitchen, she is tidy in her chef's outfit, hair neatly tied up, and hands clean and ready for her favorite cooking activities. Today is the weekend, and she decided to prepare a special meal for the whole family.

First, she takes meat out of the freezer to thaw. While waiting, she quickly washes rice, measures the water, and turns on the rice cooker. Once the meat is tender, she places it on a cutting board, holding it steady with her left hand and slicing it evenly with her right. Then, she seasons it thoroughly for a rich flavor and starts peeling the vegetables. Her movements are swift and decisive, and everything flows seamlessly. In no time, the vegetables are washed and ready for cooking.

Now begins the most important step. She turns on the stove, places a pan on it, and waits for the oil to heat. As soon as she puts the meat in, a delightful sizzling sound fills the air, and the aromatic scent quickly spreads throughout the kitchen. She continuously stirs the meat until it turns golden and appetizing. Her face lights up with joy as she cooks, her eyes sparkling with delight. Simultaneously, she makes a pot of soup, gently skimming it to keep the broth clear before adding the vegetables.

In no time, the fragrant meal is ready. The whole family gathers around, enjoying the dishes with overflowing happiness. Seeing her lovingly serve each person, I can feel the love and care she puts into each meal. The meals she cooks are not only delicious but also filled with happiness.
Sample 4

My grandfather is very fond of reading books and newspapers. In the family's study room, he has a large bookshelf occupying nearly an entire wall, filled with books of various genres. Every morning, after exercising and having breakfast, he sits in his familiar armchair, carefully puts on his glasses, and starts reading the newspaper.

His favorite newspaper is the Police Daily. He starts by looking at the front page, then patiently reads each page. Sometimes, when his glasses slide down his nose, he calmly pushes them up with his index finger. Whenever he encounters an interesting article or a striking illustration, he nods approvingly. Yet, there are times he clucks his tongue and shakes his head at bad news. Whenever he's reading the newspaper, the entire house stays quiet to let him focus. If we enter the room, we must walk carefully to avoid making noise.

After finishing, he neatly places the newspaper on the table and cheerfully says, "Today’s paper has many interesting articles. Anyone who wants to read, feel free to take a look!" Hearing that, my mom smiles and says, "Thank you, Dad." The whole family is accustomed to his newspaper reading habit, and the daily newspapers have long been an indispensable part of our family's life.
Sample 5

The family is the most peaceful place, the one where you always receive love and protection. For me, my grandmother is the person I love and respect the most.

My grandmother is now over sixty years old. She used to be a dedicated teacher, but now she is retired and spends much of her time caring for the family. She is tall with an oval face marked by time. Her long hair has streaks of gray, but to me, she remains beautiful and kind-hearted. I particularly love her gentle smile, a smile that makes me feel warm and secure.

My parents are often busy with work, so she has been caring for me since I was little. She recalls that when I was a baby, I would cry a lot, only calming down when she comforted me in her arms. She has witnessed every step of my growth, from the wobbly first steps to my babbling words. Nights spent beside her, listening to fairy tales, are among my most treasured moments. Her warm, expressive voice etched every story into my mind, becoming a part of my beautiful childhood memories.

Not only does she love and care for me, but she also teaches me many valuable lessons. She teaches me to care for others, to share with those in need. She also constantly reminds me to study diligently and develop self-discipline. Whenever I encounter a difficult math problem, I turn to her for guidance. Thanks to her, I grow wiser every day.

My grandmother is the person I love the most. I always hope she stays healthy and lives a long life so that I can repay some of the love and care she has given me.
