According to the provisions of Article 10 in the Regulations on the protection of rights and legitimate interests of lawyers infringed upon during their practice in Vietnam issued together with Decision 139/QD-BTV, the time limit for handling a protection request is the period during which the protection entity completes a measure to protect the rights and legitimate interests of the infringed subject, starting from the date of receiving the application for protection. Based on the content of the case, nature, and extent of the infringement, the time limit for handling the request for protection of the rights and legitimate interests of lawyers infringed upon during their practice in Vietnam is regulated as follows:
- For cases with clear content, sufficient documents, and evidence, the time limit for handling is 07 working days from the date the protection entity receives the application for protection;
- For cases with complex details, involving various other entities, requiring additional document and evidence collection, the time limit for handling is 15 days, from the date the protection entity receives the application for protection;
- In cases where the incident occurs in one locality but infringes upon many lawyers in different localities, the handling time limit is calculated for the lead Bar Association cooperating with other Bar Associations during the case handling process. The time limit for handling is 30 days, from the date the protection entity receives the application for protection;
