Vietnam: Completing environmental data connecting to local information systems for the period of 2021-2025

Recently, the Prime Minister of Vietnam has issued the Decision No. 2178/QĐ-TTg apporoving the Project "Completing the database of resources and the environment connecting with information systems and databases of ministries, branches and localities".

According to Decision No. 2178/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister of Vietnam, this Project aims to perform the following main tasks:

- Developing and completing a legal framework for the collection, creation, management, connection and comprehensive sharing of digital resources in terms of natural resources and the environment;

- Developing platforms for administration, integration, connection, interconnection, sharing and exploitation of resources and environment;

- Developing and completing database of resources and environment to ensure connection, communication and data sharing;

- Formulating data portal of natural resources and environment industry;

- Upgrading and developing information technology infrastructure.

The Project will be implemented nationwide in 5 years from 2021 to 2025. By 2025, formulating and completing other environmental and resource databases to ensure integration, connection, interconnection and data sharing and synchronization with the national database of natural resources and environment, specialized fields managed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam.
