Vietnam: 06 conditions for state assets in the Ministry of National Defense to be removed from the payroll

This is a notable content of the Circular No. 126/2020/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam on removal from payroll and handling of state assets in the Ministry of Defense, issued on October 19, 2020.

Specifically, according to Article 6 of the Circular No. 126/2020/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam, state assets in the Ministry of National Defense shall be removed from the payroll when the following conditions are satisfied:

- Assets that have been used beyond the prescribed period cannot be continued to be used;

- Severely damaged assets that cannot be repaired, restored and extended for continued use, or ineffectively repaired;

- Assets lost or destroyed; assets that are not included in the equipment planning or have lost their synchronism, are still in small quantity and have been in stock for a long time, outdated and no longer need to be used for military and defense tasks;

- Assets that no longer need to be used or the demand for use is reduced due to changes in functions, tasks, organization of staff;

- Assets transferred to agencies and units outside the army under decisions of competent authorities;

- Property being combat works, defense works, houses and properties attached to land must be dismantled under decisions of competent authorities for ground clearance for implementation of investment projects, or according to planning and other cases prescribed by the State and the Ministry of National Defense.
