Addition of the methods for submission of the application for registration of permanent passenger transport from shore to island in Vietnam

From June 1, 2024, organizations and individuals can submit their fixed application for registration of permanent passenger transport to Departments of Transport in person or via post service or online public service system or other appropriate means. The registration consists of:

- Passenger transport operation registration using form under Appendix II attached hereto;

- Original copies or electronic original copies or electronic copies or certified true electronic copies of written consensus or agreement signed with port, dock authorities which watercraft enter to pick up and drop off passengers;

- Original copies (in case of in-person submission) or original electronic copies or certified true electronic copies (in case of submission via post service, online public service system, or other appropriate means) of: Vehicle registration certificate; Vehicle technical safety and environmental protection certificate effective and appropriate to the operating route.

Currently, organizations and individuals can submit applications for registration of permanent passenger transport directly or via postal services to the regional port authority or submit online through the public service system.

Thus, Circular 10/2024/TT-BGTVT has added the method of submitting an application for registration of permanent passenger transport from shore to island in Vietnam through the online public service system or other suitable methods.

In addition, Circular 10/2024/TT-BGTVT also replaces the following appendices:

- Replace Annex I of Circular 16/2013/TT-BGTVT (which was replaced by Clause 7 Article 1 of Circular 24/2022/TT-BGTVT) with Annex I issued with Circular 10/2024/TT-BGTVT.

- Replace Annex III of Circular 16/2013/TT-BGTVT (supplemented by Clause 8 Article 1 of Circular 24/2022/TT-BGTVT) with Annex II issued with Circular 10/2024/TT-BGTVT.
