Adjustment of support levels from the Trade Unions for members and workers affected by No. 3 typhoon in Vietnam

On September 17, 2024, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor issued Official Dispatch 2101/TLD-QHLD amending Official Dispatch 2038/TLD-QHLD on the care and support for members and workers affected by No. 3 typhoon (Yagi) in Vietnam.

Adjustment of support levels from the Trade Unions for members and workers affected by No. 3 typhoon in Vietnam

The union's support levels for members and workers affected by No. 3 typhoon in Vietnam are as follows:

- Support for members and workers who were killed; relatives of members and workers who were killed:

+ Members and workers who were killed: VND 10 million per person.

+ Relatives of members and workers (biological children, adopted children, spouse, biological parents, adoptive parents, parents-in-law) who were killed: VND 5 million per person.

- Support for members and workers who were seriously injured and required hospitalization: Support levels range from VND 1 million to VND 5 million per person.

- Support for members and workers with damaged or destroyed housing:

+ Houses with roofs blown off or damaged requiring repair: Support levels range from VND 1 million to VND 3 million per case.

+ Houses that were collapsed, destroyed, and completely irreparable, requiring new construction: Support level of VND 50 million per case.

Finalization dossier on support from the Trade Unions for members and workers affected by No. 3 typhoon in Vietnam

  • In case of members and workers who were killed, or the relatives of members and workers who were killed:

    - Written request for support from the grassroots union;

    - Copy of the Death Certificate;

    - List of recipients (full personal information of the deceased, recipient);

    - In case of relatives of the deceased members or workers, documents proving their relationship according to legal regulations are required.

  • In case of seriously injured members and workers requiring hospitalization:

    - Written request for support from the grassroots union;

    - Copy of medical records or discharge papers;

    - List of recipients (full personal information of the recipient);

  • In case of members and workers with damaged or destroyed housing:

    - Houses with roofs blown off or damaged requiring repair:

    + Written request for support from the grassroots union;

    + List of recipients (full personal information of the recipient);

    - Houses that were collapsed, destroyed, and completely irreparable, requiring new construction:

    + Written request for support from the grassroots union;

    + Photos of the damage;

    + Damage assessment report from the supporting authority;

    + List of recipients (full personal information of the recipient);

    + Support allocation decision.
