Recently, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam has issued the Official Telegram No. 34/CĐ-BGTVT on focusing on responding to Typhoon No. 9 in the East Sea and overcoming the consequences caused by floods in the central provinces.
According to the Official Telegram No. 34/CĐ-BGTVT, implementing Official Telegram No. 1490/CĐ-TTg dated October 27, 2020 of the Prime Minister of Vietnam on the implementation of emergency response to Typhoon MOLAVE (Typhoon No. 9), in order to proactively respond to Typhoon No. 9 complicated developments in the East Sea in the coming days, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam requires:
- Agencies and units continue to strictly implement Official Telegram No. 1490/CĐ-TTg dated October 27, 2020 of the Prime Minister of Vietnam on the implementation of emergency response to Typhoon MOLAVE (Typhoon No. 9) and Official Telegram No. 33/CĐ-BGTVT dated October 26, 2020 of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam;
- Vietnam Maritime Administration: Continue to check, call and guide ships still operating at sea to escape from dangerous areas and return to safe shelters, not to leave ships in danger zones. Organize safe anchoring of boats; take the initiative to bring small boats ashore to limit damage at shelters. Resolutely not granting permission to leave the port for vehicles at the ports in the stormy area;
- To direct ports, enterprises and units that use large cranes to take measures to ensure absolute safety for people, vehicles and equipment;
- etc.
