New regulations on household electricity purchase registration documents in Vietnam

Below is the content mentioned in Decree 104/2022/ND-CP dated December 21, 2022 amending decrees related to the submission and presentation of household registration books and paper temporary residence books when performing administrative procedures and providing public services issued by the Government of Vietnam.

In which, amendments to regulations on household electricity purchase registration documents in Vietnam are specified in Vietnam's Decree 137/2013/ND-CP.

Specifically, an application for registration of electricity purchase for daily-life use of households in paper or electronic form includes an application for electricity purchase and one of the following papers and documents:

- Citizen's identity card, People's identity card, Certificate of residence information, Notice of personal identification number, and citizen information in the National Database of Population of the individual representative of the electricity purchaser.

The electricity purchaser, if a household, may only sign one contract in a location where electricity purchase is registered.

- In case the household's residence information is not used at the electricity purchase location, the electricity purchaser shall provide a copy of one of the following papers:

+ Certificate of house ownership;

+ Certificate of land use right (on land with houses);

+ Decision on house division;

+ Contract of sale and purchase of house;

+ House rental contract with a term of 1 year or more;

+ Other papers proving the ownership, management and use of the electricity purchase location with a term of 01 year or more to register for electricity purchase and only 01 Contract may be signed.

Vietnam's Decree 104/2022/ND-CP takes effect from January 1, 2023.
