From July 01, 2024, the Standard social support amount Will Increase upto VND 500,000/Month in Vietnam

According to Clause 1 Article 1 Decree 76/2024/ND-CP amending Article 4 Decree 20/2021/ND-CP stipulates the Standard social support amount for social protection beneficiaries as follows:

- The Standard social support amount serves as the basis to determine the level of social support, the level of financial support for caregiving and nurturing; the level of nurturing allowance in social support establishments, and other levels of social support.

- The Standard social support amount applicable from July 01, 2024 is VND 500,000/month.

Depending on the balancing ability of the budget, the rate of increase in consumer prices, and the living conditions of social protection beneficiaries, the competent authority will consider adjusting the Standard social support amount to suit; ensuring policy correlation with other subjects.

- In cases where the local socio-economic conditions ensure, the provincial People’s Committee shall submit to the People’s Council of the same level for decision:

+ The Standard social support amount, the social support level applicable in the locality higher than the Standard social support amount, and the social support level stipulated in Decree 20/2021/ND-CP;

+ Other difficult subjects not stipulated in Decree 20/2021/ND-CP will be entitled to social support policies.

The policies of social support stipulated at Clause 1 Article 6, Clause 2 Article 11, Clause 1 Article 13, Clause 1 and 2 Article 14, Clause 1 Article 19, Clause 1 and 2 Article 20, Clause 1 and 3 Article 25 and other related clauses stipulated in Decree 20/2021/ND-CP which regulate the social support policies for social protection beneficiaries will apply the Standard social support amount stipulated at Clause 1 Article 1 Decree 76/2024/ND-CP from July 01, 2024.
