This is the directive of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam in Directive 33/CT-TTg on strengthening the management work and re-establishing order in the road and railway safety corridors.
The Prime Minister requires Ministries, sectors, and localities to focus on implementing the following tasks:
- The Ministry of Transport is to establish a roadmap and prioritize the implementation of updating and replacing the road traffic sign system;- The Ministry of Public Security is to direct local police to strictly deal with individuals resisting those performing official duties in restoring order to road safety corridors, roadways, and sidewalks;- The Ministry of Information and Communications is to direct news agencies and the press to intensify condemnation and criticism of violations regarding the illegal use of sidewalks and roadways;- The People's Committees of provinces and cities are to direct the respective provincial departments and functional authorities to:- Install speed bumps and dangerous warning signs at all road-railway intersections;- Eliminate unauthorized residential crossings.
