Directive of the Prime Minister on developing the socio-economic development plan for 2021

On July 29, 2020, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam issued Directive 31/CT-TTg on the development of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget estimate for 2021.

According to Directive 31/CT-TTg, the formulation of the socio-economic development plan for 2021 must meet the following requirements:

- The 2021 plan must be closely aligned with the resolutions, guidelines and policies of the Communist Party, the resolutions of the National Assembly and the Government of Vietnam, the directives of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam, and must be in line with the 10-year socio-economic development strategy 2021-2030 and the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025;- Plans of sectors, fields, and local levels must be consistent with relevant regulations under the law on planning, as well as the 5-year strategy and plan for socio-economic development of the nation and localities; suitable to the characteristics and development levels of each sector and locality, and ensure regional connectivity, connection with neighboring provinces and cities, etc.;- Objectives, orientations, solutions, and policies must ensure feasibility, be linked to the capability of balance, mobilization, and efficient use of resources; it is necessary to analyze, evaluate, and prioritize objectives in the plan, etc.;- ...
