Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 57/2019/ND-CP on the Preferential Export Tariff Schedule and the Special Preferential Import Tariff Schedule for the implementation of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership for the period 2019 – 2022.

Issued along with this Decree:

- Special preferential export and import tariff schedules to implement the CPTPP Agreement;- List of goods and special preferential import tariffs for used cars under tariff rate quotas to implement the CPTPP Agreement.

This Decree also stipulates the conditions for applying preferential import tariffs under the CPTPP Agreement as follows:

- Goods listed in the special preferential import tariff schedule or in the list of goods and special preferential import tariffs for used cars under tariff rate quotas to implement the CPTPP Agreement;- Imported and transported into Vietnam from the member countries of the CPTPP Agreement;- Comply with the rules of origin of goods and possess documentation certifying the origin of goods as regulated by the CPTPP Agreement.
