Certain regulations on the public land mobile information system IMT in Vietnam that cease to be in effect from September 16, 2024

On September 13, 2024, the Minister of Information and Communications of Vietnam promulgated Circular 10/2024/TT-BTTTT suspending the effectiveness of certain provisions of Circular 03/2024/TT-BTTTT which plans the frequency bands 1710-1785 MHz and 1805-1880 MHz for the public terrestrial mobile information system IMT of Vietnam, and Circular 04/2024/TT-BTTTT which specifies the frequency bands 880-915 MHz and 925-960 MHz for the public land mobile information system IMT of Vietnam.

Certain regulations on the public land mobile information system IMT in Vietnam that cease to be in effect from September 16, 2024

The termination of enforcement of certain contents from Circular 03/2024/TT-BTTTT and Circular 04/2024/TT-BTTTT is specifically stipulated by the Ministry of Information and Communications in Circular 10/2024/TT-BTTTT as follows:

- Cease the enforcement of point a, clause 2, Article 4 of Circular 03/2024/TT-BTTTT by the Minister of Information and Communications on the frequency band plan 1710-1785 MHz and 1805-1880 MHz for the public land mobile information system IMT of Vietnam from September 16, 2024, to October 15, 2024.

- Cease the enforcement of point a, clause 2, Article 4 of Circular 04/2024/TT-BTTTT by the Minister of Information and Communications on the frequency band plan 880-915 MHz and 925-960 MHz for the public land mobile information system IMT of Vietnam from September 16, 2024, to October 15, 2024.

The termination of the enforcement of the two regulations in Circular 10/2024/TT-BTTTT will be overseen by the Chief of Office, the Director of the Department of Radio Frequencies, the Director of the Department of Telecommunications, Heads of Agencies and Units under the Ministry of Information and Communications, and relevant organizations and individuals who bear the responsibility for implementation.

Additionally, during the implementation process, if there are any difficulties or obstacles, please promptly report them to the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam for review and resolution.

More details can be found in Circular 10/2024/TT-BTTTT which comes into force in Vietnam from September 16, 2024.
