Basic supporting functions of the web portal in Vietnam

According to the Decree, the basic supporting functions of the web portal include:

- Supporting searching, linking and storing information:

+ The function of searching and searching for information allows to search fully and accurately the content of existing information, news and articles at the request of organizations and individuals.

+ Providing complete and accurate links to the portals of other relevant state agencies.

(Compared to Decree 43/2011/ND-CP, replacing “subsidiary units and other state agencies": to “other relevant state agencies”)

+ Providing printing and archiving functions for each news article.

- Providing information in foreign languages:

+ State agencies must ensure to provide information in English, including:

Organizational structure, functions, tasks and powers of that agency and each affiliated unit;

Contact information of competent officials and civil servants, including full name, position, working unit, phone number, fax number, official email address.

+ Encouraing state agencies to publish other information items in English and other languages.

+ Information items specified at Points a and b of Clause 2, Article 7 of Decree 42/2022/ND-CP must be promptly updated when there are changes. (New point)

- Based on specific conditions, state agencies shall perform the basic functions in Clauses 1 and 2, Article 7 of Decree 42/2022/ND-CP on other supply channels. (New point)

Decree 42/2022/ND-CP takes effect on August 15, 2022 and replaces Decree 43/2011/ND-CP in /Vietnam
