Application of information technology in technical inspection of occupational safety in Vietnam

On July 30, 2019, the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam issued Circular No. 03/2019/TT-BXD amending a number of Articles of Circular No. 04/2017/TT-BXD on Occupational Safety Management in Construction Works.

Circular No. 03/2019/TT-BXD of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam provides amendments to Article 16 on management of information on technical inspection of occupational safety of Circular No. 04/2017/TT-BXD, concurrently stipulates that the application of information technology in technical inspection of occupational safety shall be regulated as follows:

- The specialized agencies shall have the responsibilities to develop, upload and provide updates on information of the organizations and individuals specified in Clause 1, Clause 2 of this Article for the software; instruct the organizations and individuals conducting technical inspection of occupational safety to use the software;

- The organizations and individuals conducting technical inspection of occupational safety shall have the right to use the software specified in Point a of this Clause during their operation to manage and carry out technical inspection of occupational safety with regard to machinery, equipment and parts subject to stringent occupational safety requirements that are used in construction works.
