Amendments to conditions for participation in selection and direct assignment of entities to lead environment-related tasks in Vietnam

The conditions for participation in selection and direct assignment of entities to lead environment-related tasks in Vietnam are amended as follows:

- Organizations participating in the registration for selection or being considered for direct assignment to lead the implementation of environmental tasks must meet all the following conditions:

+ Have legal status;

+ Have functions suitable to the specialized field of the environmental task.

- Individuals registering to participate in the selection, direct assignment to head the environmental task must simultaneously meet the following conditions:

+ Hold at least a bachelor’s degree;

+ Have relevant expertise and have been working in the related field of the environmental task for the past 3 years up to the time of application submission;

+ Have the capability to directly perform or organize the performance and have sufficient time to lead the environmental task ensuring progress and quality;

+ Not be ineligible to register for participation in selection, direct assignment to carry out the environmental task.

- Individuals in any of the following cases are not eligible to register for participation in selection, direct assignment to carry out the environmental task:

+ At the time of the application submission deadline according to the participation announcement, they are currently leading one environmental task;

+ At the time of the application submission deadline, they have not completed the submission of the proposal for acceptance of another environmental task for which they are responsible as required;

+ Have committed violations leading to suspension of the task they are leading within 3 years from the date of the suspension decision by the competent authority.

More details can be found in Circular 10/2024/TT-BNNPTNT which comes into force in Vietnam from September 16, 2024.
