Hanoi-Vietnam: Report on foreign investment and cooperation in the education sector(Illustrative Image)

Circular 19/2020/TT-BGDDT specifies the report on foreign investment and cooperation in the education sector under the management of the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training as follows:

Contents to be reported: The current state of foreign investment in education in the locality/school; the management of educational institutions with foreign investment and Vietnamese educational institutions teaching foreign programs in the locality; the management of representative educational offices in the locality; advantages and difficulties during implementation in the locality/school; proposals and recommendations (if any).

Reporting entities, receiving authorities, and reporting process:

- The Department of Education and Training reports to the Provincial People’s Committee;

- Provincial People’s Committee; foreign-invested higher education institutions report to the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training.

Reporting period: Annual periodic report.

Reporting submission and reception methods: Follow the regulations specified in Article 6 of this Circular.

Time to finalize report data: From December 15 of the preceding year of the reporting period to December 14 of the reporting year.

Report submission deadline:

For physical reports:

- The Department of Education and Training submits the report to the Provincial People's Committee by December 17 each year.

- The Provincial People’s Committee; foreign-invested higher education institutions submit the report to the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training by December 20 each year.

In case of reports made and sent via the Ministry of Education and Training's reporting information system, the deadline shall follow the regulations in Clause 6, Article 7 of this Circular.
