In Article 101 of Decree 15/2020/ND-CP of Vietnam stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the fields of the post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology and electronic transactions, users of social networks if taking advantage of social networks to commit one of the following acts, they will be administratively sanctioned with a fine ranging from VND 10,000,000 to VND 20,000,000 :

(1)  Providing, sharing fake information, untruthful information, distorting, slandering, insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, honor and dignity of individuals;

(2)  Providing and sharing information promoting customs, superstitions, superstitions, lewdness, and debauchery, not in line with the nation's fine customs and traditions;

(3)  Providing and sharing information detailing the action of slashing, killing, accident, horror, horror;

(4)  Providing, sharing fabricated information, causing confusion among the People, inciting violence, crimes, social evils, gambling or serving gambling;

(5)  Providing and sharing journalistic, literary, artistic works, publications without the consent of the intellectual property right holder, or have not been allowed to circulate or have had a decision to ban them from enforcement or confiscation;

(6)  Advertise, propagate and share information about prohibited goods and services;

(7)  Providing and sharing Vietnam map images but not showing or improperly expressing national sovereignty;

(8)  Provide and share links to information on the Internet with prohibited content.

In addition, for the act of disclosing information on the list of state secrets, personal secrets and other secrets that are not serious enough for criminal prosecution  (9), Facebook users will be fined from 20,000,000 VND to 30,000,000 VND.

To avoid trouble with the account being used in particular and violating the bans in general, users need to actively learn more about the operating principles of Facebook and other social networks, as well as the relevant laws of Vietnam. Along with that, each person needs to be careful in their statements, select the content posted, and limit the spread of bad content, thereby protecting themselves and those around them when using social networks.
