Quang Ngai Permits Reopening of Dining Services, Coffee Shops, etc., from August 24

Morning August 24, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province issued Official Dispatch 3916/UBND-KGVX regarding the implementation of certain measures for COVID-19 prevention and control in the current phase. Among these measures, a plethora of services such as dining, drinking, coffee, entertainment, etc., are permitted to resume operations.

To be specific, the Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee directs as follows:

- Activities permitted to resume normally:

+ Dining, drinking, coffee service businesses; leisure, recreational activities, tourism, swimming, swimming pools, sports centers (fields), educational institutions are allowed to operate (events are not organized).

+ Weddings, funerals, parties, housewarmings, etc., are advised to be conducted simply, civilly, and progressively, with no more than 50 people gathering at the same time.

+ Meetings and conferences at agencies, units, and localities.

+ Intra-provincial and inter-provincial passenger transportation activities are permitted and must implement safety measures to prevent and control the disease as directed by the Ministry of Transport.

+ Goods transportation, essential supplies, and Quang Ngai citizens traveling to Ly Son district.

+ The consideration of allowing seafarers to go ashore, change ships will be based on specific conditions of each case, but they must undergo medical examination, quarantine, and have the approval from the Border Guard Command and the Department of Health.

* The Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee instructs that for the aforementioned activities, the heads of units and localities must implement good disease prevention and control measures as prescribed; ensure effective prevention, and avoid infection in the community; require everyone to wear masks, disinfect hands, maintain social distance; regularly clean and sanitize equipment, vehicles, and facilities.

- Activities that remain suspended:

+ Temporarily suspend festivals, religious ceremonies, worship, sports events, unnecessary mass gatherings; non-essential service businesses such as karaoke, massage, bars, discos, cinemas, public internet services, electronic games.

+ Continue to suspend passenger transportation to and from provinces, cities, and locations applying Directive 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020, by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam.
