Where to Submit and Receive Applications for the Artisan Title Consideration?

Submission and Reception of Applications for Artisan Titles (Illustrative Image)

Decree 123/2014/ND-CP guides the submission and reception of applications for the title "People's Artisan" and "Excellent Artisan" in the field of handicrafts as follows:

- Individuals proposing for the title can either submit the application themselves or authorize (in writing) another individual to prepare and send directly or via postal service one (01) application file to the Department of Industry and Trade at the place where the individual resides within the timeframe specified in the Plan for awarding the title “People's Artisan” and “Excellent Artisan”.

- The agency receiving the application for the title “People's Artisan” and “Excellent Artisan” is responsible for checking the validity and completeness of the documents and materials in the application as per regulations and giving a written response within 10 working days from the date of receipt of the application. In case additional materials or corrections are needed in the application file, the receiving agency will provide guidance for the individual to complete and resubmit the file no later than 20 working days from the date of receiving the written guidance.

In addition, the Decree also specifies the announcement of the President's Decision to confer and award the title “People's Artisan” and “Excellent Artisan” as follows: The Ministry of Industry and Trade organizes a Ceremony to announce the President’s Decision to confer and award the title “People's Artisan” and “Excellent Artisan”.
