When are Cars Not Serving Title Duties Liquidated?

January 11, 2019, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Decree 04/2019/ND-CP stipulating standards and norms for the use of automobiles.

According to the regulations stipulated in Decree 04, for automobiles not used for official purposes, liquidation is conducted when one of the following conditions is met:

- The usage period has exceeded the legal regulations on policies for management, depreciation, and amortization of fixed assets;- The vehicle has been driven over 200,000 kilometers for automobiles owned by state agencies, organizations, units, and enterprises located in mountainous areas, islands, or areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions; the vehicle has been driven over 250,000 kilometers for automobiles owned by state agencies, organizations, units, and enterprises located in other areas.- The vehicle does not meet the above conditions but is damaged beyond repair or the repair is not effective.
