According to Clause 1, Article 5 of Circular 02/2020/TT-BVHTTDL, the library resource storage must meet the following requirements:

- Located in a dry place according to the library’s conditions;- Air environment must be clean to ensure appropriate temperature, humidity, and lighting conditions for each type of information resource;- Stable construction geology with high load-bearing capacity;- Convenient for transportation, protection, fire prevention, firefighting, and organizing the exploitation and use of information resources.

In addition, the equipment and tools for preserving information resources in the library include:

- Fire prevention and firefighting system according to the provisions of the law on fire prevention and firefighting;- Systems for measuring humidity, temperature, and air conditioning machines, ventilation fans, dehumidifiers, and other safety assurance equipment;- Shelving systems, boxes for storing information resources;- Machinery, cleaning and preservation tools for information resources;- Server systems, data storage devices, preservation of digital documents and other specific types of documents.
