Circular 30/2017/TT-BGDDT on Regulations for Professional Titles Standards of Preparatory University Teachers was issued on December 5, 2017. Notably, this document specifies the standards for preparatory university teachers of grade III.
To be specific, according to the guidelines provided in Circular 30/2017/TT-BGDDT, university preparatory teachers Class III must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a university degree in pedagogy or higher, or hold a university degree or higher in appropriate subjects relevant to the teaching discipline, and have a certificate in professional pedagogical training for high school teachers;- Have a foreign language proficiency level 2 according to the regulations in Circular 01/2014/TT-BGDDT issuing the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework for Vietnam, or possess a certificate in a minority language for positions requiring the use of a minority language.
For foreign language teachers, the second foreign language proficiency must meet level 2 as specified in Circular 01/2014/TT-BGDDT issuing the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework for Vietnam;
- Have basic information technology skills according to standards stipulated in Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTTT prescribing Standards of Information Technology Skills.
- Implement the curriculum, planning, and education for the university preparatory system;- Apply knowledge of pedagogy and adolescent psychology in the practical education of university preparatory students;- Utilize economic, cultural, and social knowledge in career counseling for university preparatory students;- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to enhance the educational effectiveness of university preparatory students;- Be capable of compiling teaching materials, applying or writing experienced initiatives, and carrying out scientific research projects.
Circular 30/2017/TT-BGDDT takes effect from January 20, 2018.
