On October 10, 2011, the Minister of Education and Training issued Circular 44/2011/TT-BGDDT regulating the visiting lecturer policies in educational institutions.
What are responsibilities of visiting lecturers in educational institutions in Vietnam? (Illustrative photo)
According to Circular 44/2011/TT-BGDDT, the rights and responsibilities of visiting lecturers are stipulated as follows:
- Implement the duties of an educator as prescribed by education laws.
- Comply with legal provisions related to the visiting lecturer contract.
- Fulfill the commitments of the visiting lecturer contract.
- Visiting lecturers who are officials and public employees must ensure the completion of their duties at their workplaces; incorporate the visiting lecture plan into their work program; must report to the head of their workplace before entering and after terminating the visiting lecturer contract.
- Receive remuneration, salary, and benefits as agreed in the visiting lecturer contract and according to legal provisions.
- Participate in professional activities, pedagogical training, engage in scientific research at the visiting institution, be considered for awards, and be recognized and appointed to the titles of Professor and Associate Professor under the law.
- Be provided with, and supported by, the visiting institution with necessary documents, equipment, and means for work; be evaluated, classified, and rewarded if there are achievements in educational and training activities according to legal provisions.
