Vietnam: The Ministry of Public Security must consult the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National Defense when issuing forms used for entry and exit

This is the content mentioned in Decree No. 64/2015/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government stipulating coordination mechanism between ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and People's Committees of provinces and central-affiliated cities in the management of entry, exit, transit, and residence of foreigners in Vietnam.

According to Decree No. 64/2015/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, the Ministry of Public Security is responsible for obtaining opinions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense before issuing sample documents on entry, exit, and residence of foreigners in Vietnam, sample stamp to verify entry, exit, temporary residence certificate. Concurrently, the Ministry of Public Security is also responsible for printing and providing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense with white publications to serve the issuance of valid documents for entry, exit, and residence in Vietnam.

Decree No. 64/2015/NĐ-CP also stipulates that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National Defense shall have the responsibility to:

- Use white publications provided by the Ministry of Public Security to foreigners entering, leaving, and residing in Vietnam; annually estimate the number of white publications requested to be provided by the Ministry of Public Security and pay printing costs according to regulations;

- Guide Vietnamese and foreign agencies, organizations and individuals to use document forms related to the entry, exit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam issued by the Ministry of Public Security.
