Types of Commendations in the Justice Sector

Types of Awards in the Justice Sector as prescribed by Circular 05 are as follows:

1. Awards based on merit and achievements:

- This is a form of reward for collectives or individuals with outstanding achievements or who have excellently completed assigned tasks, contributing to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland;- The degree of excellent task completion for collectives and individuals will be evaluated and recognized by the recommending authority based on regulations.

2. Thematic or periodical awards are rewards for collectives or individuals achieving outstanding results after the end of a campaign launched by the President, the Prime Minister, the Minister, or Heads of agencies, organizations, and units.

3. Extraordinary awards are given to collectives or individuals who have achieved extraordinary accomplishments:

- Extraordinary accomplishments are those achieved outside the program, plan, or tasks that the collective or individual was responsible for;- Exceptionally extraordinary accomplishments are those achieved at an exceptional level, such as bravery in saving people or property of the people and the State, or achieving exceptionally outstanding accomplishments in the judicial sector, recognized by organizations in the region or the world through medals, awards, certificates, and other legitimate forms, in accordance with Vietnamese law and acknowledged by Vietnamese state agencies or authorized individuals.

4. Awards for dedicated service are given to individuals with a history of engaging in activities during revolutionary periods, holding leadership or management positions in state agencies, public service providers, political organizations, or socio-political organizations, with significant merits, outstanding achievements, and contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Communist Party and the nation.

5. Diplomatic awards are given to foreign collectives or individuals with achievements contributing to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland of Vietnam in the judicial sector.
