Title: The Title of "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" and What You Need to Know

1. Who is awarded the title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother"?

Mothers who fall into one of the following categories are awarded or posthumously awarded the title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother":

- Have two or more children who are martyrs;- Have only two children, with one being a martyr and the other a wounded soldier with a labor capacity reduction of 81% or more;- Have only one child, and that child is a martyr;- Have one child as a martyr and either the husband or the mother herself is also a martyr;- Have one child as a martyr and the mother herself is a wounded soldier with a labor capacity reduction of 81% or more.

2. If awarded the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces," can one also be awarded or posthumously awarded the title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother"?

According to Article 3 of the Ordinance stipulating the honorary title of the state "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" 1994, mothers who have been awarded the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" and fall into one of the above categories are still awarded or posthumously awarded the title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother."

3. Regime for “Heroic Vietnamese Mother”

Awarded Certificate, Badge "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" and entitled to the following preferential policies:

- Ceremony for awarding or posthumously awarding;- Entitled to a lump sum payment and preferential policies as prescribed by the law on incentives for people with meritorious services to the revolution;- When passing away, a solemn funeral is organized;

4. Is the title “Heroic Vietnamese Mother” revoked?

The title, Certificate, and Badge are revoked for those who have been awarded the title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" and are deemed no longer worthy of that title.

5. Authority to decide on awarding, posthumously awarding, or revoking the title “Heroic Vietnamese Mother”: The President
