The Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular 08/2017/TT-BCT regulating the price registration and price declaration of milk and functional foods for children under 06 years of age.
According to Circular 08, competent state agencies can receive the Price Registration Form from traders through the following methods:
- Direct submission: 02 copies at the office of the receiving agency along with 01 stamped envelope;- Submission via official dispatch: 02 copies to the receiving agency along with 01 stamped envelope;- Submission via email with an electronic signature or a scanned copy of the signed and sealed Form to the address notified by the receiving agency or via fax, and simultaneously supplementing with 01 official copy via official dispatch for the receiving agency to file records.
Additionally, Circular 08 also stipulates the prices registered by traders, specifically:
- Traders producing or importing milk must register the recommended retail price and are responsible for promptly notifying the registered recommended retail price to their distribution system.- The retail prices of traders must be listed and must not exceed the registered recommended retail price.- The registered recommended retail price is the basis for receiving agencies and competent state agencies to perform state management of prices and to inform consumers.- Traders producing or importing milk can register recommended retail prices suitable for particular geographical areas.
