The tasks and powers of the Hanoi Information & Exhibition Center under the Department of Culture and Sports, are defined as follows according to Decision 2726/QD-UBND in 2024, which regulates the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Hanoi Information & Exhibition Center under the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi City.

Thus, the tasks and powers of the Hanoi Information & Exhibition Center under the Department of Culture and Sports of Vietnam are as follows:

- Developing an annual work plan to be submitted to the Director of the Department of Culture and Sports for approval and implementation. Providing advice to the Director of the Department of Culture and Sports in organizing information dissemination and visual propaganda activities within the city to promote the target programs of the city and the country.

- Provide advice on the development and organization of information dissemination activities, visual propaganda, exhibitions, mobile propaganda campaigns, and mobile propaganda competitions, as well as various forms of city decoration to serve political missions, target programs, cultural, social, and sports events at the city, national, and international levels.

- Designing and creating models, propaganda paintings, posters, billboards, model clusters, flags, welcome gates, banners, slogans, model rally cars, ceremonial decorations, and organizing exhibitions to serve political, cultural, social, and events of the central government and the city.

- Editing, publishing, promoting creative works, and distributing propaganda materials (newsletters, books, magazines, radio broadcasts, leaflets, brochures, etc.) to disseminate the Party's direction, state policies, laws, and the city's political, economic, cultural, and social missions.

- Editing, updating, posting news, articles, photos, video clips, etc., on the electronic portal of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi and the city's electronic information websites to disseminate the Party's direction, state policies, laws, and implement the city's political, economic, cultural, and social missions.

- Organize guidance, training in information dissemination, mobile propaganda competitions, mobile propaganda performances; small-scale composition competitions, scriptwriting for mobile propaganda; propaganda painting competitions, and various forms of decoration and fine arts; organize exhibitions; provide propaganda materials, propaganda paintings to serve political, economic, cultural, and social missions in the city. Monitoring and supervising visual propaganda activities in districts, towns, and facilities.

- Documenting, archiving, preserving, and exploiting documentary films about cultural and sports activities in the city of Hanoi.

- Participating in information dissemination, propaganda, and exhibition activities organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; central agencies, the city, and provinces (mobile propaganda competitions, training in professional skills, propaganda painting exhibitions, artistic creation camps, scriptwriting for mobile propaganda, conferences, professional workshops, etc.).

- Organizing study tours, exchanging professional experience in propaganda, exhibitions, cultural exchange, and career development with relevant domestic and international entities.

- Applying scientific and technological advancements and digital transformation in professional activities to contribute to the development of the cultural industry and the establishment of a creative city in the capital.

- Providing essential public services: organizing and participating in cultural activities, mobile propaganda, visual propaganda to serve political missions, and other authorized public services.

- Providing public services in the cultural field: organizing cultural services, propaganda, exhibitions, designing models, products, advertising, entertainment, and other services.

- Joint ventures and partnerships with organizations and individuals to organize cultural, sports, and other activities as regulated.

- Managing the organizational structure, personnel, finances, assets, and facilities in accordance with the law.

- Carrying out other tasks assigned by the People's Committee of the city or the Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi in accordance with the functions, tasks, and powers of the Center.
