Subjects Not Eligible for Allowances When Performing Arts in the Military

Recently, the Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 167/2008/TT-BQP guiding the implementation of preferential allowance policies and training for art performance workers in the army.

Circular 167/2008/TT-BQP stipulates the subjects not eligible for an allowance when performing arts in the military as follows:

- The period of working or traveling abroad with 40% salary as stipulated in Clause 4, Article 8 of Decree 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004, of the Government of Vietnam regarding salary policies for officials and public employees and the armed forces;- The period of working or studying in the country without directly engaging in artistic performance for more than 3 consecutive months;- The period of taking personal leave without pay for 1 consecutive month or more;- The period of sick leave or maternity leave exceeding the duration prescribed by the Social Insurance Law;- The period of suspension from work;- The period of not directly engaging in artistic performance but undertaking other work for 1 month or more.
