Standards for Professional Title of University Preparatory Teacher Rank I

1. Standards for Training and Further Education Qualifications

- Holding a master's degree or higher, relevant or appropriate to the subject being taught; for vice-principals, this may be substituted with a master's degree in educational management or higher; possessing a certificate in pedagogical training for high school teachers if not having a bachelor's degree in education;- Having level 3 foreign language proficiency as prescribed by Circular 01/2014/TT-BGDDT promulgating the 6-level foreign language competency framework for Vietnam or holding a certificate in minority languages for positions requiring the use of minority languages;

For foreign language teachers, the second foreign language proficiency must reach level 3 as stipulated in Circular 01/2014/TT-BGDDT promulgating the 6-level foreign language competency framework for Vietnam.

- Meeting basic information technology skill standards as stipulated in Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTTT prescribing Standards for Information Technology Skills;- Holding a certificate for professional title training for pre-university teachers, level I.

2. Standards for Professional Competence and Skills

- Guiding colleagues in implementing the educational plans and programs of the pre-university education system;- Creatively utilizing and evaluating the application of knowledge about education and the psychology of age-appropriate levels in the practical education of pre-university students by colleagues;- Flexibly applying knowledge about national and international economics, culture, and society to effectively orient the career paths of pre-university students;- Actively and proactively, flexibly organizing, cooperating with colleagues and the community to enhance the educational effectiveness for pre-university students;- Being capable of creatively applying educational science or disseminating innovative experiences or research products in applied pedagogical science within the pre-university school system;- Being recognized as a Ministry-level emulative soldier or an excellent teacher/excellent head teacher in the pre-university school system;- For officials being promoted from pre-university teacher, level II to pre-university teacher, level I, they must have held the title of pre-university teacher, level II or an equivalent position for at least 06 years, with at least 01 year in the most recent period holding the title of pre-university teacher, level II.
