Standards for Pre-University Teacher Rank II

According to the provisions of Article 4 of Circular 30/2017/TT-BGDDT, Second Grade University Preparatory Teachers must meet the following standards:

1. Standards on training and fostering qualifications

- Have a bachelor's degree in education or higher, or have a bachelor's degree or higher in suitable teaching subjects and a certificate of high school teaching pedagogy;- Have a level 2 foreign language proficiency according to the regulations of Circular 01/2014/TT-BGDDT issuing the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework for Vietnam or a certificate of a minority language for positions requiring minority languages;

For foreign language teachers, the second foreign language proficiency must achieve level 2 following the regulations of Circular 01/2014/TT-BGDDT issuing the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework for Vietnam.

- Have a basic information technology proficiency standard following the regulations of Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTTT regulating Information Technology usage proficiency standards;- Have a certificate of professional title training for second-grade university preparatory teachers.

2. Standards on professional and vocational competence

- Master the program and educational plan of the university preparatory system;- Flexibly apply and guide colleagues in applying educational science and adolescent psychology knowledge in practical education for university preparatory students;- Effectively apply knowledge of economics, culture, and society in career counseling for university preparatory students;- Actively cooperate with colleagues, parents, and the community to enhance the educational effectiveness for university preparatory students;- Have the ability to effectively apply, evaluate, or guide colleagues in writing initiatives and applying school-level scientific research products;- Recognized as grassroots-level emulation soldier or excellent teacher/excellent head teacher at the school level;- Officials promoted from the title of Third Grade University Preparatory Teacher to Second Grade must have held the title of Third Grade University Preparatory Teacher or equivalent for at least 06 years, with the most recent time holding the title being at least 01 year.

Circular 30/2017/TT-BGDDT takes effect from January 20, 2018.
