Requirements of Knowledge in Forest Ranger Sector at College Level

On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) issued Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that students must achieve upon graduation from intermediate or college levels in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary science.

According to the Regulation on Minimum Knowledge Volume, Competency Requirements for Learners upon Graduating from the Intermediate Level, College Level in the Forestry Sector issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge that learners must achieve upon graduating from the college level in the forestry sector is defined as follows:

- Present basic knowledge on ecosystems serving the conservation and sustainable development of forest resources;

- Analyze and clearly understand the role of legal education and propaganda in the forestry sector;

- Present basic knowledge on forest development and construction;

- Explain principles and technical measures applied to effectively perform tasks of investigating and monitoring forest resource changes;

- Describe the structure and usage of tools, equipment serving the tasks of investigating, monitoring forest resource changes, and forest protection;

- Present basic knowledge on administrative violation handling steps in the management and protection of forests and forest products;

- Present some knowledge about customs and traditions of certain ethnic groups in Vietnam;

- Present some content about the management, use of weapons, support tools, martial arts for self-defense, and personal defense when performing tasks;

- Present basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense, security, physical education, and informatics as required.
